My life experiences along with my work experience as a teacher/coach/real estate investor/business owner/lender/realtor makes me a great choice for all of your real estate needs. I can TEACH my clients about all aspects of buying and selling real estate. I am able to educate my clients on lending and how that works and the amazingly creative options they have. I was raised in the valley attended 5
colleges and graduated in 4 years, GO FIGURE! One of those 5 colleges was Wenatchee Community College (WVC) It turned out to be the most amazing experience of the 5! I played basketball where I met many extrodinary people during that 1 years. My 2 best friends over the past 30 years were my teammates at WVC. It was a great experience attending the local CC. Upon graduating from Western Washington University I began my high school mathematics teaching and coaching career in my home town of Chelan, WA. In just 9 short months at the age of 22 I was hired to teach in the Mukilteo School District and off I went to explore the "big" city. Always loving the valley no matter where I was to roam. I completed my career in teaching/coaching of volleyball and basketball with this district. I was fortunate enough to be one of the original team of teachers who opened Kamiak High School, a 4A school in Mukilteo. Since leaving the west coast, I have substitute taught as well as coached my son, nephews and most recently my little nieces. It was at age 22 when I purchased my first investment property on Capital Hill downtown Seattle. And from that moment on I was hooked! I went into real estate initially because I wanted to close all of my own personal deal myself. I became a licensed agent in the Seattle area at about 25 years of age. What makes me the most effective helping people with all of their real estate needs is that I have personally experienced all aspects of the business the UPS and the DOWNS. First of all, I went through a short sale on my primary residence. Additionally I lost one of my investment properties by making a huge mistake! I put the mortgage for a group of friends in just my name; with an agreement that they were my "partners". When things got tough with the market decline every single one of them quit paying their portion of the payment. I ended up with the foreclosure on my credit. Tough lesson to learn, how many of you have had to learn a similar lesson with your investments? I am an open book! I enjoy sharing my experiences to HELP people. This business allows me to tap the same passion and commitment I had teaching kids by teaching adults about all aspects of real estate to help them feel confident with the process. I was a mortgage broker for about 5 years making a very good living. I went from great income to $0 overnight with the fall of the market just like many of you! I then scrambled and turned one of my commercial building into first a coffee shop and 2 office spaces then into a Pub. One of the rooms was a real estate office where Nick began his career with me with the same real estate company. The other office was my mortgage business as I was doing my best to keep that going. So I was literally making espressos while talking to that same person about a home purchase and loan. Selling cups of coffee was not getting it. So, I turned the front of the building into a very cool Pub. Each of the business were called: "A Shot of Gratitude". I soon found out that the bar business was not for me so I sold the business and kept building as an investment and started back on the road to recovery in the real estate business. As the market recovered so did I. I began investing again and doing full time real estate again. I LOVE it! I will bring my life's experiences to you. I will help you step by step through the process. You will feel confident and comfortable buying and selling your homes with me me leading you through the process in a positive helpful way. I will take care of your family's real estate needs working together.
