Appraisals are becoming more detailed, but a longer report doesn’t automatically mean there’s a problem. 🏡

Beginning November 2, 2026, Uniform Appraisal Dataset 3.6 will be required for applicable appraisal submissions. Buyers, sellers and real estate agents may notice more upfront questions about square footage, ADUs, renovations, property features and potential discrepancies.

The goal is a clearer, more consistent description of the property—and fewer surprises later in the process.
