3 mistakes home buyers are making ‼️⤵️🏡

1. Skipping the Home Inspection 🔎
Skipping the home inspection is a huge risk. You never know what hidden issues there could be under the surface, such as foundation issues, roof issues, electrical defects, and more.

2. Not Getting Pre-Approved 📝
This should be the first thing you do in your home buying journey. That way, you are prepared and ready to write an offer when your dream home comes on the market.

3. Focusing Too Much on Aesthetics 👀
Paint and flooring can be changed, but location and layout are permanent factors. My best advice for home buyers is to do research and determine what location they want to be in and what kind of layout they are looking for.

✨FRIENDS, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jesikah Becker as its new Executive Director, effective October 1, 2024.✨
Jesikah brings over eight years of experience working with survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence, having joined the FRIENDS, Inc. team in 2022. She previously served as the Sexual Assault Advocate and Program Director and was named Interim Executive Director in July 2024. Before joining FRIENDS, Inc., Jesikah worked at The Women’s Center in Waukesha and Dubuque Y Crisis Services (DYCS) Emergency Shelter. After graduating from Hartford High School, she went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she earned her degree in Psychology with a human services emphasis and a criminal justice minor. Jesikah is also a current member of the Board of Directors for the Love is Greater than Hate Project. As a current resident of West Bend, Jesikah is excited to take on this leadership role and continue her commitment to supporting survivors in the community she both grew up in and now calls home.

This is an exciting opportunity for me to give back to the community where I grew up and contribute to a cause that holds deep personal importance.
