Today wasnโt just another closing. It was saying goodbye to the home where my sisters, brother, and I grew upโฆ along with all the dogs, cats, and random animals that somehow always found their way to our front door. My mom never could say no to an animal that needed a home. โค๏ธ
My parents built 2118 Canary St. in Wingate Subdivision in 1974 and called it home for the next 52 years. Every room, every corner, and every inch of that yard holds a memory. Like every family home, this one holds a lot of great memoriesโฆ and a few hard ones too. But at the end of the day, it was home. โค๏ธ
If you grew up in Wingate Subdivision, you know what made it so special. It wasnโt just the houses. It was the neighbors who became family, playing outside until the streetlights came on, the lifelong friendships that started right here, and the neighborhood that had the ๐๐๐ฆ๐ง Christmas lights. ๐โจ
While itโs bittersweet to close this chapter, Iโm excited to see this home come back to life. I canโt wait to watch it be transformed over the next few months. Stay tuned, because itโll be back on the market soon, ready for another family to make memories of their own. โค๏ธ
