Here’s what’s happening now:

Beaver Dam median home sales were $270,000, average at $289,429, and 183 sold for the 2025 year so far.

What it means for you:

Buyers can step in with fewer bidders – and possibly negotiate better terms.

Scenario time! You’re house hunting and find two options:

🛠️ Option A: Fixer-upper in a prime location (great schools, walkable area, close to work)
🚙 Option B: Move-in ready home that’s further out (longer commute, but everything’s already perfect)

Pro tip: Consider your lifestyle and timeline. Are you handy and have time for projects? Or do you need to focus on work/family without renovation stress? Also factor in commute costs and time – sometimes the “cheaper” home further out costs more in the long run.

There’s no wrong answer here – it all depends on your priorities, budget, and long-term goals!
