Cooking sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving? Poke with a fork, bake 50 minutes at 450 degrees and easily peel the skin right off after they've cooled. Here’s a great Roasted Maple Recipe!

• 3 cups chopped & peeled sweet potatoes chopped large 2 2 & 1/2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
• 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 425°. Spray a cookie sheet with sides on it with cooking spray. Combine potatoes, olive oil, maple syrup, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Stir until all the potatoes are coated. Place mixture onto a sheet, spreading out evenly so they don’t overlap. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Stir the potatoes halfway through cooking time. Enjoy!

Downtown Northville is getting ready for the cold weather. Soon Main Street and Center Street—which are closed for pedestrians only!—will have open-air, heated structures to enjoy food & beverage in a safe, socially distanced way. We say "Cheers!" to that.
