A simple thing that often gets overlooked in a lot of properties we manage is proper ventilation for bathrooms. Without it, moisture builds quickly and becomes a breeding ground for mold. ⁣
⁣
Keep indoor humidity levels low by using a dehumidifier or air conditioner, and venting bathrooms, dryers, and other moisture-generating sources to the outside.⁣
Fix any leaks or standing water issues promptly.⁣
Clean and dry any flooded areas within 24-48 hours to prevent mold growth.⁣
Clean mold off hard surfaces with detergent and water, and dry completely.⁣
Use an air purifier with a HEPA filter to remove mold spores from the air.⁣
Inspect and maintain HVAC systems and ductwork to prevent mold growth.⁣
Regularly check for mold in areas that are prone to moisture, such as basements, bathrooms, and attics.⁣
