County Preparing for Revaluation Year
Moore County is gearing up for the 2027 revaluation of property, when land owners will find out how much the value of their homes, businesses and land have changed in the last four years.

On Tuesday, Tax Administrator Gary Briggs gave a quick rundown to the Moore County Board of Commissioners about the revaluation process, which starts with setting what’s called a “schedule of values.” That is a lengthy document, roughly 300 pages, that outlines the general framework for appraising all real property values. It includes a methodology and procedures to follow.
