Hey what’s up everyone? Just wanted to quickly hop on here and talk about what’s going on and hopefully de-bunk some myths about what’s happening in the Real Estate Market right now.

Over the last 2 years since the Covid-19 Pandemic, we’ve seen a tremendous increase in Home prices and appreciation, record low inventory, and historically low interest rates. All of these factors caused a massive amount of demand and it was to the point where some homes were put on the market and under-contract within 24 hours. Certainly that was not the case with every single home but, for the most part, homes were selling at an unbelievable pace.

Fast forward to today’s current market as of August 2022. As our economy continues to shift and evolve, current low inventory combined with inflation means that home prices will still remain high throughout the rest of 2022. Despite this, along with higher interest rates, demand for housing is still very strong. Nobody has a crystal ball to predict exactly what will happen over the next year in 2023 however, all signs are pointing to home prices not coming down anytime soon.

So,

Buyers; If you’re looking to buy a home, now is a great time to do so. Compared to 2020 and 2021, the slightly higher interest rates have increased Days on Market for most homes and there’s been less Bidding wars/multiple offer situations. Interest rates will continue to increase and so will home prices. The sooner you purchase, the sooner you can start building your own equity. Keep in mind you can always buy-down your interest rate 👍🏼. Owning Real Estate is not only a great hedge against inflation, but is the safest investment to build long term wealth.
