Customers hire us to help them with unwanted Trees, Brush etc. One of our customers HAD a old not so good picnic table that they needed to get rid of. I said I can make it DISAPPEAR if you like? What can I say wood is wood 42 seconds and GONE 😉

We would like to share with you a project that we did for Derek and His wife at their small farm in Nunica/Spring Lake area. They were looking to have more area for their cows to graze. The area had a lot of Autumn Olive and because it was originally a large farm back in the day there was a fair amount of metal and stuff that had been thrown over the hill. We see this quite often in the woods because back in the day there were not any recycling places like we see today. So with our Grapple Attachment that we use to dig up Roots, Carry Trees we can pickup Washing Machines, Water Heaters, Lawn Mowers etc. etc.

I started helping Ed & Barbara with their Autumn Olive project back in 2021. Their 80 acre farm with beautiful rolling hills, 5 ponds, beautiful hard woods and pine plantings were taken over by Autumn Olive. I would guess out of the 80 acres they had 20 plus acres of Autumn Olive. The photos that you see here in is post are of phase #3 the Apple and Pear orchard on the Northside of the house and of the back and side yards. Considering the apples and pears were not able to be maintained they actually tasted really good. As you can see the pear trees were really loaded with pear last year.
There is a really good reason why it is said that Autumn Olive is consider an Invasive Species.

We had a Blessed year and it’s time to give some updates.

Dan & Alison purchased this 65 acre piece in Crystal Valley that had a lot of Autumn Olive and needed a little clean up.

Time to catch up on some posts. This was a big project south of Glenn Mi. Eric & Natalie asked us to take a look at their new land and house purchase that they made. Their 2.5 acres had numerous invasive plants and bushes taking over their property. They had Autumn Olive, Bitter Sweet, Wild Grape Vines, Buckthorn and Dead Ash Trees. The plan was to create a yard and space for the kids to play and use the property. As you will see in the photos they created a really nice Sports Court and Eric created a really cool Frisbee Golf area.
Take note of the Candy Cane Tree. It is actually a Maple Tree that was attacked by multiple Bitter Sweet Vines. Bitter Sweet and Grape Vines can and will kill your nice trees no matter what the size of tree. They also have a number of Tulip trees which bloom in late spring which are very pretty. Linda and I have a tulip tree in our landscape and I add some pics from our tree.

This project is a little different than most of our other projects. You have seen that we specialize in pushing back the jungle/woods for many customers that live in the woods. But this project is not in the country it is basically in town. As you can see it is possible to have a jungle even in a neighborhood. You can see the two homes are quite close together. You have probably seen from some of our videos I can throw pieces of wood hundreds of feet in the air. To say that I needed to be on my A GAME is a understatement. Good news is there are no broken windows or dents in sliding 😉
Before I started this project I introduced myself to the neighbor Brian to let him know that I was working for the condos to clear the area between his house and theirs. Once I started to push back the jungle on the condos property Brian asked if I could help him with some of his jungle on his side of the property line. Photos below show benefits to both property owners.

Here are the photos from Tim and Marcy’s project. We really appreciate the kind words about our work. Their two boys were very interested in what I was doing and the equipment that I was doing it with. The brilliant replica of our mulching head on Caleb’s John Deere track loader is a very impressive piece of art. Luke was a big help to me with pushing the back and forth buttons on the stump grinder which saved my fingers. 😉 Don’t worry he was safe sitting between my legs and the both of us just fit behind the safety bar. Luke is a quick learner as well learning the names of all my attachments and how the tracks work on the machine. The boys helped keep me awake because I knew they were always watching me.
