When selling a home, homeowners debate whether they should invest in painting the home before listing it or leave it as is. There are many reasons why painting the home before selling is a great idea. Here are the top 3:

It's super important to know if the realtor you are thinking of working with is trustworthy. There are a lot of real estate scams going around and it's better to be sure before you start your home buying/renting/selling journey.

Verify their license number to see if it's valid and up to date in the state of FL.

Facebook has become a great tool to find homes to rent or purchase, but it's also a place where scammers spend a lot of their time trying to find the next victim to take advantage of.

There are a few things you can do to try to avoid Real Estate Scams on Facebook:

1. Check the profile of the person that posted the listing. See if it's from someone local and if the profile looks like a regular profile with lots of friends and comments.

2. Verify the person's reviews. What are people saying?

3. Do NOT send your social security number or fill out an application without meeting the seller or real estate agent and viewing the property.

4. Verify if the person listing the unit or home is a realtor and ask for their realtor license number.

5. Make sure they are willing to talk with you on the phone.

6. Most listings on Facebook are also on other realtor websites, so cross check the address on these sites.

These are some ways to check but you can never be too sure. I know sometimes you are eager to rent or buy a new home and you can get caught up in how fast things may move but make sure you are careful.

1. Add seasonal plants. Plants can bring a home to life. You can add flowers in pots as well. Just make sure you don't overdo it. Keep it clean and organized.

2. Paint your front door.

3. Mow your lawn and pressure wash driveways.

4. Install lighting features. Add outdoor sconces or path lights.
