A Home Equity Investment (HEI) is a financial agreement that allows eligible homeowners to receive a lump sum of cash in exchange for a share of their home’s future value.

Unlike a traditional home equity loan or HELOC, an HEI does not require monthly principal and interest payments.

The amount repaid depends on the home’s value when the agreement ends, according to the terms of the contract.
