Notice of Funding Availability: SHIP First Mortgage Loan Assistance Program

The Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) has announced the opening of the SHIP First Mortgage Loan Assistance Program which will provide funds for first mortgage assistance. This program provides 4% fixed-rate loans to income-eligible households to make homeownership more accessible.

Upcoming Virtual Orientation Sessions: Interested residents are encouraged to attend a virtual orientation via WebEx on one of the following dates:

Tuesday, February 17, 2026: 2:00 pm
Thursday, February 26, 2026: 3:30 pm
Tuesday, March 3, 2026: 8:00 am

Application Timeline: The pre-application portal will be live from March 11, 2026, at 8:00 AM through March 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Note that a random lottery will be used to select 50 applications for processing.
