If I could choose any home, it would probably be this one! Unfortunately, it’s not for sale. 🙁

In Florida, you can tour one of the most unique and fascinating homes ever built in the Sunshine State...the "Wonder House" in Bartow, FL! The Wonder House was started in 1926 by Conrad Schuck, a builder from Pennsylvania who was told he had only a year to live. Instead of giving up, he moved his wife and nine children to Bartow and began building his dream home. The house rises four stories high with two more levels underground. Its walls are up to 18 inches thick, made from concrete poured over bedrock and reinforced with old steel rails. The layout forms a cross, and every room opens to porches for steady airflow. You’ll see bright tile and glass set into the concrete, a fishpond on a third floor porch, crystal k***s that turned pale lavender, and a spinning kitchen cabinet that hides wires. Schuck’s family never lived here, but it later became one of Florida’s early tourist stops...and still makes for a great "off the beaten path" stop today!
