BY SPECIAL REQUEST...Many people missed the screening of Wuthering Heights when it was shown, elsewhere, last month. By Special Request, Phase A will screen this new release film a passionate love story, based on the novel by Emily Bronte, on WEDNESDAY, JULY 22 at 6:30 pm. Admission is free and includes popcorn and a soda. Please arrive a few minutes early as films begin promptly. SAVE THE DATE and make plans to join us.

HAPPY TUESDAY AFTERNOON, ALL! I hope you had a great holiday weekend. This week is a little less hectic, but we have many activities to keep everyone happy and active during these very hot days!

Meditation with Desmarie kicked off its Tuesday afternoon classes with a relaxed group of 10 participants enjoying the experience. Make plans to join us every Tuesday at 1:00 pm for a stress-free hour designed for your physical and mental well-being.

if you are planning to attend the AARP Mature Driver's Class on Monday, July 13, you must be registered by Thursday at noon. Please give me a call so I can get you on the list!

Our Girl's Nite Out on Wednesday, July 15 is guaranteed to be delicious and fun for all attending. We'll be serving sub sandwiches so call Pam before Monday, July 13 at noon with your dinner order. The after-dinner film is the very funny sequel "The Devil Wears Prada 2" with Pam's special after-cinema dessert to follow.

Don't forget to sign-up for Sunday Brunch on Sunday, July 19th in the Poolside Cafe. Seating is limited so buy yur tickets early to the delicious buffet, catered by Pete's Place, before they sell out!

And get ready to boogie to the music of Motown artist Troy McCray and TCM on Saturday, August 1. This exciting group always rocks the house and our dinner menu is sure to please so call your friends and enjoy a night on the town at Clubhouse "A", but do it soon before tickets sell out.

Keep dry, keep cool and remember to drink your water as the temps are very high this time of the year...we want everyone to stay healthy so we can enjoy The Good Life...The GLVA Way!

GOODBYE JUNE! We welcome July tomorrow and the holiday weekend is just around the corner.

For those of you traveling and celebrating elsewhere...be careful and have a fabulous 4th of July.

If you plan to celebrate our Nation's 250th Birthday with a delicious, traditional BBQ Luncheon and dance music with The Rambling Strings Band...REMEMBER...ticket sales will close at Noon tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1, so see Pam ASAP for your tickets to this festive afternoon.

As we enter the month of July, we hope you'll take part in our many planned activities at Clubhouse A.

Mindfulness & Meditation with Desmarie begins on TUESDAY, JULY 7. Class starts at 1:00 pm, promptly and latecomers will not be seated once the doors are closed so please arrive early. Based on the size of the class, we will either meet in the Clubhouse Meeting Room or the Arts & Crafts Room. Wear, loose, comfortable clothing and enjoy this relaxing, chair meditation experience every Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

During our off-season, Thursdays are Muffin Day at the Hot & Sweet Cafe. Join us in the All Purpose Room from 8:00-11:00 am for fresh, assorted jumbo muffins and freshly brewed coffee with refills for only $2. (GLV Punch card or Credit/Debit Cards only, please) and, of course, friendly conversation with your friends and neighbors.

Lastly, if you would like to join us for the AARP Mature Drivers Class on Monday, July 13, remember to register with Pam ASAP as pre-registration is required (no walk-ins, please) This informative class will save you money on your auto insurance and refresh you on the rules and regulations of the highways in Palm Beach County and elsewhere.
