Are our property taxes really disappearing?

The real answer is TBD! Today the Governor is meeting with the senate in order to discuss & iron out the details to see if this will be an item Florida Residents can vote for on the November ballot.

The initial proposal passed its own version of property tax reform (HJR 203) by a vote of 80 to 30, but it died in the Senate due to concerns about the impact on small cities with limited tax bases.

Today, Governor DeSantis is now making another run at it with a modified, phased approach that he hopes can win the Senate support that previous proposals lacked.

Life can be bitter sweet.

This family has made it through such a long journey, from going into contract when it was just dirt to closing earlier this month. They worked with us patiently going through the process & using our longtime trusted lender Jeremy to close on their dream home.
