“Should I wait until fall to list?” I’m getting this question a lot right now, and the answer really depends on the house.

August can still bring plenty of buyer activity, especially from people hoping to make a move before fall. Waiting could mean less competition from other listings, but it could also mean fewer buyers actively looking. That’s why I wouldn’t make the decision based on the season alone. I’d look at what homes like yours are actually doing right now in the Des Moines metro.
