I am researching the history of Lombard Street, from its earliest days as an Irish Catholic quarter, to its industrial past when factories lined both sides of the street, fast forward to the contemporary architecture visible today.

1978 - The 2-storey parking garage that filled up an entire block west of the St. James Cathedral. That block now has the King Plaza Condo at 92 King Street East, and the 1989 mildly pomo (post modern) commercial tower at 70 King Street East/1 Toronto Street - designed by Brisbin Brook Beynon Architects.
