Some seasons of life bring moments that make you sit quietly with what’s already been decided in your heart.

This week reminded me that closure doesn’t always happen at the end of someone’s life. Sometimes it happens years earlier, when you do the deeper work of accepting what is and what isn’t yours to carry anymore.

I believe everyone deserves peace as they walk their final stretch here. And sometimes the most respectful thing you can do — for them and for yourself — is not step back into a story that already found its ending.

Boundaries aren’t about distance.
They’re about clarity.

Compassion doesn’t always look like showing up.
Sometimes it looks like stepping aside with love and letting the moment belong to the people who are meant to be there.

We all walk different paths in this life, but we’re all headed to the same destination eventually. What matters most is walking our own road with honesty and peace.

Today I’m choosing quiet.
Today I’m choosing peace.
And today I’m grateful for the strength it takes to do both.

Mornings look a little different around here lately.

I’ve been loving my new treadmill hikes — walking trails all over the world without leaving home.

Gia, however, has her own opinion about the whole routine.

She prefers the meditation portion… usually laying right between my crossed legs like she’s guarding the moment.

Remi? She’s the princess of the house and mostly watches the whole situation like, “Whatever you’re doing, I hope snacks are involved.”

It’s quiet mornings like this that remind me why I love living here.

Simple moments, mountain air, and two tiny supervisors keeping an eye on everything.

🔥🚧 Holie Jeans Sunday | When Life Says “No Entry” 🚧🔥

This week was… something.

Wedding dress shopping in Denver turned into traffic chaos with someone who really loved her authority 🙃
Then a water main break at my building… roads blocked.
Then a mountain fire near my home… evacuation.

At one point I was literally told:
“No, you cannot go home.”

Strange feeling… when it’s your home.

So I grabbed the dogs…
and apparently nothing else 😂

No toothbrush.
No deodorant.
No clothes.
No blankets.

Just me, Gia, Remi… and a commercial building with a kitchenette.

Pulled cushions off office chairs and made a little bed on the floor and thought…
well… here we are.

And honestly?

It wasn’t horrible.
It wasn’t scary.
It just… was.

Life threw up roadblocks all week — literal ones.
“Not this way. Not yet.”

Until finally…
they escorted us back home.

Funny how that works.

Sometimes you don’t force your way through…
you adjust, trust, and let life open the road when it’s time.

Messy. Unplanned.
A little uncomfortable.

But handled. 💫
