Fireworks are always a part of the 4th of July celebration. While it's always good to have a fun time, it's important to also be safe! Here are a few tips to think about this weekend:
- Never allow young children to handle fireworks
- Never use fireworks while impaired by drugs or alcohol
- Anyone using fireworks or standing nearby should wear protective eyewear
- Never hold lighted fireworks in your hands
- Never light them indoors
- Only use them away from people, houses, and flammable material
- Never point or throw fireworks at another person
- Only light one device at a time and maintain a safe distance after lighting
Never ignite devices in a container
- Do not try to re-light or handle malfunctioning fireworks
- Soak both spent and unused fireworks in water for a few hours before discarding
- Keep a bucket of water nearby to fully extinguish fireworks that don't go off or in case of fire

Being a real estate agent is a lot of work. That is why I always pride myself on keeping myself and my team healthy. For National Men's Health Week, here are a few tips to help keep you guys healthy this week, and every week. First, get lots of sleep Our lives are so hectic and full of things to do after the sun goes down that it’s sometimes hard to get an adequate amount of sleep. Yet sleep is one of the most important factors in maintaining good health, vibrant energy, and a strong immune system. Next, may sound simple enough but go outside and get some sunlight every day! Sunlight prompts your body to make the all-important vitamin D and to support the mood-lifting benefits. Natural sunlight also has a powerful mood-elevating effect, which can enhance productivity at work, and fresh air always does a body good. Lastly, lift heavy things. Now, I'm not suggesting you need to become a power-lifter, but if you’re able, go to the gym and lift weights two to three times a week. This will stimulate your genes to increase muscle strength and power, increase bone density, and improve insulin sensitivity, not to mention, that it’s an incredible natural reliever of stress, and much more.
