Is demand for single-family homes in New Hampshire slowing down? By one key measure, yes but only slightly — though demand is not the same in every part of state.

Statewide, the average home spent 24 days on the market in the third quarter of 2025. That is up slightly from 21 days last year. Keep in mind, in the 3rd quarter of 2019, the average days on the market was 45.

There’s a lot of variation across the state: Grafton and Sullivan counties demand held steady from 2024 to 2025 while Rockingham and Hillsborough counties homes spent about 3 days longer on the market. But Coös County saw the biggest shift, with homes staying on the market over 20 days longer.
