People occasionally ask whether working for Keller Williams means I have a large brokerage split—and whether that ultimately gets passed on to my clients.
It’s a fair question.
The reality is that my brokerage split is capped, so my brokerage cost is limited.
But that’s actually not what occupies my mind.
Years ago, while reading Steve Jobs’ biography, one idea stayed with me.
Two companies can appear to make similar products.
Yet the conversations happening in their boardrooms are completely different.
One asks:
“How do we maximize profit?”
The other asks:
“How do we build an extraordinary product that people love?”
From the outside, they may look like they’re doing the same thing.
But because they’re asking different questions, they make different decisions.
Those decisions compound over time—and lead to very different outcomes.
I believe real estate is no different.
Many agents appear to be doing the same things.
But every day, I ask myself different questions:
• How can I better protect my clients?
• How can I maximize the value of their home?
• How can I negotiate more effectively?
• How can I identify risks before they become costly mistakes?
• How can I communicate more clearly and make the process less stressful?
Those questions shape hundreds of decisions throughout every transaction.
Over the years, I’ve seen those decisions help clients achieve better financial outcomes, avoid costly mistakes, and move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Every client is free to decide what matters most to them. Some prioritize paying the lowest commission, and I completely respect that.
The clients who choose to work with me are looking for something different.
They’re choosing an advisor whose focus is relentlessly on creating value and achieving the best possible outcome.
Because in the end, an agent’s true value isn’t determined by what they pay their brokerage.
It’s determined by what occupies their mind every day. ❤️🏡
