House Beautiful paint trends for 2026. The Blush and "Optimistic Yellow" are tricky colors to select if you are not a professional.
Yellow especially can look bright and sunny on a little paint chip but if its a blue based yellow (as opposed to a red based yellow), it can be anxiety provoking if painted on the walls -so be forewarned.
There are a few beauties they are predicting will be popular. I can get on board with Ben Moore Dark Harbor and Bordeaux Red!

I am designing window treatments for a client. One of the rooms is her 4 YO daughters room. The daughter loves pink, she is a "girly girl" but Mom would like the treatments to still be appropriate when her daughter turns 12. Mom has sophisticated taste.
