G’son CARTER, My Trick ‘r Treat PARTNER IN CRIME! (Confession: I was the only one committing the crime…read on). Carter remained undaunted by GOBLINS, Warlords, superheroes, Swords,& several “into it” PARENTS that were wonderfully childish(!) in costume(incl daddy Justin as “Sir Topham Hat” fr Thomas the Tank…sporting a Hefner-style Zebra jacket? It’s r Justy😂) Carter also saw his more Halloween-savvy older bro Camden’s 1st X truly participating in collecting FREE🍫🍭… This grandma got to proudly experience Camden’s 1st right of ‘🎃-passage’& parent-encouraged “collection of crap” (1 X per year)was learning fr savvy friend’s leads, so advanced fr his 2yo-self! Ever polite, CAM yelled “T or T” AFTER leaving the homes(parent thoughtfully instilled gratitude reminders!)…However, Carter, in his usual UNUSUAL mature awareness, allowed us to experience the movie-set perfect ET Halloween scene & the stunning SUNSET, says it all. Carter quietly OBSERVED the organized mayhem: delighted kids running in costume(all known friends). Crime Confession: Later, I “tested” much of Carter’s candy as my “cut,”which he cared ZERO about(awww innocense). He is only 14mos, after all. A fact sometimes forgotten since he’s SO AWARE and truly a partner, even this young. Calmly observing it all fr his comfy stroller , Carter, more a “go with-the-flow” kinda guy (NOT to be confused w/a wallflower, AT ALL!), innocently observed all activity, assured by sitings of familiar hood-lings, bro & parents nearby, simply immersed himself in ALL… I took Carter fr his stroller and allowed him to free-fall into STUNNING piles of crunchy FALL🍂🍁LEAVES under the dusk sunset skies, perfect weather, sparkling lights… All-in-all, only slightly freaked by a life-like monster on a lawn… (which I quickly diverted him from)!! After all, he knew he was in safe hands & parents nearby…What could be seen as a bizarrely strange eve, was the opposite to my little exceptional man— whose instincts rely heavily on the VIBE, seemed completely content, in it all. As was I! All the while,quietly immersed in each other. A priceless experience that can’t be bought. ❤️🙏❤️

How was Halloween 2024?! ✈️A JOY-Filled week with my 2 LOVING GRANDSONS and the world’s 2 most amazing parents I’m honored to claim as “my son & daughter(DIL).” Top it off by being hosted by my FAMILY, that defines the word, and happen to be “in-laws.” Can’t WAIT to return!! TG for our weekly FaceTimes(BoBo too🐶!) You fill my life w/LOVE👦🏻👦🏻 and I MISS YOU ALL. Grateful for your magical love & including me in your lives as Mom & “BOBBY-JO”
