Vincent Millay 💛 This page celebrates the beauty around us in all things architecture, real estate & design in SoCal and beyond. As a top-producing real estate agent in the greater Los Angeles and Ventura County areas, I offer uncompromising negotiation, hyper-local and razor-sharp market knowledge, strategic valuation and property placement, and marketing. My extensive network of buyers and collaborative relationships with attorneys, land use consultants, engineers, architects, and designers stems from over 37 years of experience in real estate, legal, and management roles. With a deep understanding of the complexities and potential pitfalls in the real estate world, my background as both a broker and lawyer allows me to navigate transactions expertly, safeguarding your current and future assets. I represent buyers and sellers in residential sales, corporate relocation, new construction, historic and architecturally significant properties, land, and commercial deals. A large percentage of my transactions take place off-market, ensuring client privacy and allowing exclusive properties to change hands discreetly. Additionally, a portion of all real estate transactions support my nonprofit efforts, which focus on animal rescue and local environmental causes.

Restoring a house by Lloyd Wright, the architect and son of Frank Lloyd Wright, carries a particular responsibility. The question is not simply which original features are worth keeping, but how contemporary interventions can be introduced without weakening the ideas of the architect who designed it.

For the restoration of Wright’s 1959 De Jonghe Residence in Los Angeles, began by researching the house rather than redesigning it. Original drawings and archival documentation helped establish what belonged to Wright’s design, what had never been fully realized, and where the architecture could accommodate contemporary life. The result shows how a significant modernist house can evolve without being frozen in time. Follow the link to read the article: https://midcenturyhome.substack.com/p/how-do-you-restore-a-house-by-frank/
