Responsibilities:
-Must be able to perform physical property inspections under the supervision of a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. Physical inspections may require traversing uneven terrain, stairs, basements, and cellars in building without elevator access; measuring structures, entering living areas, commercial spaces, basements, cellars, crawl spaces and attics as needed and/or required. The candidate must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions and temperatures.
-Conduct preliminary research on property fundamentals
-Research market data
-Assist in the preparation and drafting of narrative and form-type real estate appraisal reports
-Provide general support for senior appraisal staff to accomplish production and service goals and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
-Commitment to completing the process of earning a Certified Residential Appraiser license (at a minimum)
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
-Strong analytical ability
-High level of attention to detail
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to comfortably interact with clients
-Proficiency in the use of Word and Excel with a willingness to learn appraisal specific software
