Monday Morning Message
How are you today? The warmer day are upon us! Enjoy the time as it seems if one blinks twice it is on to the next season.
ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER
I remember traveling in the car with my family and thinking, “I’ll be so happy when we finally get there.” Looking back, I often wonder why I believed happiness had to wait until I reached a specific destination. Why couldn't I be happy during the journey itself?
Have you ever caught yourself doing the same thing? Telling yourself you'll be happy when you get the promotion, buy the house, lose the weight, retire, or reach some future milestone? Why do we sometimes convince ourselves that happiness belongs to a future version of our lives instead of the one we're living right now?
Life will always bring challenges, disappointments, and unexpected twists. But happiness and gratitude do not have to be dependent on perfect circumstances. In fact, we've all seen people who seem miserable despite having everything, while others find joy and contentment in the middle of life's imperfections. Our circumstances influence us, but they do not have to define us. We always have a choice in how we respond.
I have a friend who wakes up every morning genuinely happy, energetic, and enthusiastic about the day ahead. It's not because life is perfect. It's because that is the mindset they choose to bring into each day. They are among the most grateful, optimistic people I know, and I continue to learn from their example.
So, this week, choose happiness now. Not next month. Not when conditions improve. Not when everything falls into place. Focus on finding joy in this moment, this hour, this day. Stop waiting for circumstances to give you permission to be happy.
The journey is happening right now. Enjoy it.
