Happy 5th birthday Oakley! 🐶🐾❤️ You came into my life at just the right time. You are a big, loving (trying to be bad ass) baby and you sure do make us laugh!

Happy National Dog Day to the pups who leave their paw prints all over our hearts. ❤️🐾

Maverick will forever be my best boy and one of my greatest loves. When he was diagnosed with five different types of cancer and given only months to live, he had other plans — he gave me three more years. I lost him two years ago, but I still think about him all. the. time. He’ll always have a piece of my heart. ❤️

And then there’s Oakley — the rescue mutt who somehow became Maverick’s therapy dog. 😂 She’s spunky, quirky, and afraid of her own shadow, but tougher than she knows. After a scary injury this summer, she was such a trooper through 2+ months of bandage changes, medications and the dreaded cone. I’m so thankful to say she’s finally almost completely healed. ❤️

Dogs just don’t stay with us long enough. But the love they give us stays forever.

Happy National Dog Day to my best boy in heaven and my crazy girl right here beside me. 🐾❤️

I have to take a minute to give a huge shoutout to my friend and fellow Realtor Kassi Malkin and her husband Matt for what they have accomplished at 641 Martin Street in Longmont. ❤️

This beautiful little neighborhood church was built more than 100 years ago by Longmont’s Volga German community — and instead of simply turning an old building into a new house, Kassi and Matt found a way to give it an entirely new life without erasing the story that was already there.

They transformed it into an absolutely stunning single-family home while preserving and honoring so many of the details that made the church special — the beautiful original windows, soaring ceilings and architectural character, along with thoughtful touches throughout that pay homage to the original tile, colors and history of the building.

That’s what I love most about this project. It’s beautifully updated, but you can still tell what it was.

For more than a century, people gathered inside these walls for church services, weddings, baptisms, celebrations and everyday moments of community. Now, thanks to an incredible amount of vision, work and respect for its history, this special building gets to begin an entirely new chapter.

Kassi and Matt, I am SO proud of you guys. What an undertaking — and what a beautiful job you did bringing this piece of Longmont history back to life. ❤️ Matt & Kassi Malkin .. Well done!!
