🦇🦇 Bats are the real-life superheroes of the night! 🌙🦇

Bat Fact: Did you know a single little brown bat can eat hundreds of insects in just ONE hour?! 😲 That’s a lot of mosquitoes being taken care of while we sleep!

Bats might get a spooky reputation this time of year, but they’re actually important members of Wisconsin’s ecosystem. ❤️

Want to learn more about these fascinating night flyers? The library has TWO bat-tastic events happening this week! 🦇📚

🌙 TONIGHT — Wednesday, October 21 | 6:30–7:30 PM
🦇 Celebrate Wisconsin’s Bats — an adult presentation with Wisconsin Bat Ambassadors

🎨 Saturday, October 24 | 11 AM–1 PM
🦇 Bat Explorers — kids can create their very own bat cave!

Skip the spooky stories and discover what makes these amazing creatures so special. Who knew bats could be this cool?! 🦇💚

Starting tomorrow night (10/21)! 🦇🦇🦇

The library will host two bat-themed events in Wausau this week to shed some light on one of Wisconsin's most understood and essential creatures. We're kicking things off Wednesday evening with a presentation given by Wisconsin Bat Ambassadors, and on Saturday, children get to join in on the fun with their very own bat cave on the second floor!

🗓 Wed., Oct. 21 @ 6:30–7:30 pm
🌙 Celebrate Wisconsin's Bats (Adults)
🗓 Sat., Oct. 24 @ 11 am – 1 pm
🦇 Bat Explorers (Children)

We can't wait to see you there!
