Who is Team Global House and What is our Objective?

Team Global House has established a partnership with Borkholder Buildings & Supply (BB&S) Company, which is located in Nappanee, IN and owned by Dwayne Borkholder. BB&S Company has 55 years of experience received many National Awards for Design and Innovation. One such National Award, specifically, was for their entry of the 2010 Competition of the National Frame Building Association. They received a “Building of the Year” Award for such aforementioned submission.

BB&S initially started primarily serving the Midwest and, then, slowly but surely, began to expand Nationally and, then, Internationally. BB&S has 15 years of experience, working overseas, exporting to five (5) International Countries.

• Engineered Structures are specifically designed to MEET ALL International Building Codes (I.B.C.) , which includes the United States and all U.S.A. territories, such as Puerto Rico, Guam and or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

• In particular, that would include the Post-Frame Construction, which is specifically outlined, referenced, within the I.B.C. located in Section 2306 Allowable Stress Design AND ALL SUCH WIND LOADS would meet, at a minimum, ALL Residential Wind Loads in accordance with Section 1609 and figures 1609, A, B & C of the I.B.C. as well.

• In addition to the aforementioned I.B.C. compliance, ALL Post-Frame Construction details are in compliance with the published guidelines of The National Frame Building Association (NFBA) that was most recently updated, in 2015, 2nd edition. Features of The Global House are as follows:

• Engineered Structures are specifically designed for Hurricane, Earthquake and Storm Prone areas of the International Community.

• Designed to withstand wind loads of up to 150 m.p.h. Thus, the Global House is designed to specifically withstand major hurricanes and earthquakes.

• Incorporates a Galvalume Shell exterior finish wrapped around a very strong Post-Frame Construction. Such Post-Frame Construction is Pressure Treated with CCA (Anti-Termite) up to 18” above the earth. Which includes the Skirt Board as well.

• Posts are inserted 2.5 feet deep and are cleated onto a concrete pad. Such technique prevents up-lift at time of a strong storm.

• Includes ½” Thermal 3Ht for exterior walls and ceiling.

• Aesthetically blends well into geographic areas where a concrete or stucco exterior is the norm. Designed to have good “curb appeal.”
