The #1 way to learn about something you've never done before? Ask others who’ve gone before!

I’m not just an agent you know - I’m a proud homeowner, too! So here’s me, taking off my agent hat, putting on my homeowner hat, and sharing with you what I wish I would have known BEFORE buying a house.

Some things I wish I would have known:

• to always shop around for a mortgage
• to boost your emergency fund first
• know how much property taxes are and how they’re trending
• always buy in a good school district
• drive by the house at different times of day to see what the neighborhood is really like

The deadline to file for homestead is fast approaching. If you haven't already done so, you will need to do ASAP!!

First, you must have your Driver's License changed to your new address!

There are a few ways to do this- You can apply ONLINE, IN PERSON or MAIL-IN

👉🏼🛑 You MAY have Homestead Portability if you previously owned a home in Florida with Homestead- Be Sure to include that information when applying!! It can save quite a bit of money!🛑👈🏼

You will need the following:

Date Permanent Florida Residency Last Established
Date Moved Into Home
Marital Status/Relationship
Florida Driver's License Number and Florida Driver's License Issue Date
Date of Birth
Florida Vehicle Tag Number
