Marilyn moved to Westport as a young married women and immediately fell in love with the town. She often jokes that within weeks of moving in, she told her husband, should he be transferred, she would write to him, wherever he goes. While raising her family, Marilyn was a Soccer Mom, Little League Mom, Den Mother and PTA President. Today, she takes great pleasure in "paying it forward", as she get
s to be the REALTOR® who helps others move to "her" town. A puzzle solver, at heart, Marilyn enjoys working on Crosswords and Sodoku or playing Scrabble, and is not satisfied until she comes up with the solutions or earns the most points for the hand she has. She applies her puzzle-solving skills to her real estate business, exploring the market until she finds the home that best fits her client’s needs or researching recent sales, comps and market statistics to determine the optimal price at which to list a property. Combining these steps with communication, marketing and negotiating skills enables her to make the right deals at the best price. The ABR® designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) to those who meet specified educational and practical experience criteria and pass a written exam. It is the only designation of its type recognized by the National Association of REALTORS®. Fewer than 2 percent of all licensed real estate agents are ABRs. Marilyn also holds the e-PRO certification, designating her as an Internet Professional. She is a past treasurer of the Mid-Fairfield County Association of REALTORS® (MFCAR) and served as a State Director of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS®. She serves on the grievance committee of her local board and has also served as MFCAR's RPAC chairman. Marilyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, where she majored in Child Development and Family Relations. Prior to real estate, Marilyn worked in market research. Marilyn’s passion is tennis and, in season, can be found early weekend mornings playing doubles at Longshore Town Park. She also enjoys spending time on her boat, where she and her husband are members of Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club.
