Then someone orders another round, the guac disappears at an alarming rate, the fajitas arrive sizzling like they have something to prove, and suddenly your quiet dinner in New Canaan has developed a personality.

The food is bold, the margaritas or sangria are dangerously easy to say yes to, and the whole place has that lively, slightly spicy energy that makes staying for “just one more” feel completely reasonable.

Is this haute cuisine? That’s not the assignment.

This is fun food, strong drinks, good energy and absolutely no interest in an early bedtime.

Everyone moving to Fairfield County makes the same mistake…
