September is here- and so is registration for the 28th annual Scarecrows Along Main! Register by September 22nd to ensure that you get a spot!

This time honored OW tradition is FREE for individuals, families, youth groups, adult groups, and non-profits. Don’t worry if you’ve never made a scarecrow before. We LOVE newcomers!

Applications must be submitted by Sept. 22, 2023 (late entries will be accepted at the discretion of OWSA and may not be included in judging).
Guidelines / Please Read Before Continuing
* Scarecrows should be in place by Saturday MORNING, September 30th, 2023. Judging will be done the following week.
* Please remove your scarecrow on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. If your scarecrow is not removed by Saturday, November 4th you may not be eligible to join Scarecrows on Main in the future.
* Scarecrows must be properly secured, oriented toward the sidewalk and checked periodically for damage.
* The Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association is not responsible for any loss or damage.
* Please remember that this is a family-oriented event and design scarecrows accordingly.
Note: A location will be assigned and a business name and phone number will be provided so that placement arrangements can be made PRIOR to construction of the scarecrow and to answer any questions you may have concerning set up and removal on the business property.
