👋🏼 Hi, I’m Jonathan with SafeGuard Home Inspection, a Connecticut Licensed Home Inspector and InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector® with a background in architectural & structural engineering and residential construction.
As a lifelong Connecticut resident, I understand the unique character, construction methods, and common concerns found in homes throughout the state — from historic New England properties to modern construction.
I earned my degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Hartford and also studied at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, with a concentration in structural engineering. That education, combined with years of hands-on experience in and around homes, allows me to provide inspections that are both highly detailed and practical for real-world homeownership.
What truly sets my inspections apart is my approach to working with clients. I believe a home inspection should be informative, approachable, and empowering — not intimidating. Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions most people will make, and my goal is to help you feel confident and fully informed throughout the process.
During every inspection, I take the time to explain what I’m seeing, why it matters, and what it may mean for you long-term. I encourage questions and focus heavily on communication so that my clients leave with a clear understanding of the property, not just a report filled with technical terms.
At SafeGuard Home Inspection, I take pride in presenting findings in a calm, honest, and non-alarming manner. My inspections are designed to identify defects and safety concerns while also educating buyers about how their home functions and how to maintain it moving forward.
Whether you are purchasing your first home, upgrading, downsizing, or investing, my commitment is the same: to provide a thorough inspection, clear communication, and a level of service that makes you feel supported every step of the way.
