Was a fun evening seeing all the cute kiddos all decked out in their Halloween costumes! Fun was had ball all and glad we can give back to the community with events like this with SCMTA.

JUST HOW TALL ARE FRIDAY’S GREAT LAKES WAVES?!

We’re putting Friday’s wave forecast into perspective, Michigan style!

Imagine waves towering over a white-tailed deer, a grizzly bear standing on its hind legs, or even Ryan! Some of the largest occasional waves could rival the length of a fire engine!

Lake Michigan is expected to see some of the biggest waves, with significant wave heights reaching 20–25 feet in portions of the open lake and occasional waves potentially reaching 30 feet or more! Lake Superior could see occasional waves around 25 feet, while Lake Huron could see occasional waves reaching 23 feet. Strong northerly and northwesterly winds will be whipping up the lakes Friday, bringing dangerous marine conditions and hazardous waves and currents along exposed shorelines.

For those traveling/riding UP in the Hiawatha, note that Midway General Store AND Forest Glen General Store are both CLOSED! Midway will reopen on Tuesday and Forest Glen reopens Oct 20. SxS’s: gas is available at Buckhorn or Jack Pine!
