So, why real estate? Well, a few years ago my hubby and I were going to sell our starter home and he suggested I get my license so I could handle the transactions of us selling and buying another home. Little did we both know that I would end up absolutely loving it and deciding to leave my 10+ year career of working with behavioral health to pursue this new-found passion! (Fun fact – we ended up

listing our home, then taking if off the market to add on an addition instead of moving after all!)

Now that I’ve been in the business for a few years, I have found that I absolutely love working with first time home buyers. There’s something special about being able to educate someone through the process from beginning to end and being there to help them through the whole transaction that culminates in them achieving the dream of homeownership keeps me coming back for more! I love gifting my clients their individualized & homemade closing gift baskets and seeing the joy on their faces when they finally get to call a house their home. Oh, and home sellers – don’t think I forgot about you! Working with (especially first-time) home sellers allows me to use my knowledge to help them best prep their home for sale, and combining that with pricing psychology and digital marketing skills, I’m able to create massive demand for their home. Just know that if you invite me over for a walkthrough, I’m most likely going to leave you with some home improvement homework! ;)

Regardless of if I’m helping you buy a home, sell a home, build, invest, or purchase vacant land, you can rest assured that I will be organized (to a fault almost!) and that we'll have some fun along the way! Behind the “For Sale” sign, I spend most of my time with my hubby and our two kiddos. I’m a lover of coffee, craft beers, Kate Spade, emo music, and anything polka dot. I also enjoy reading, puzzles, and crochet in my spare time…some might call me an “old soul.”

Day 1 of 30 Pittsburgh real estate sh*t you should know (even if you’re just being nebby for now)…

Truthfully, it’s never too early to start the home buying process. In fact, I’d argue most people start way too late.

If you’re thinking about buying in the next 6-12 months, you should already be talking to a trusted realtor (and possibly a lender) and getting a plan in place.
