It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of Charles “Chuck” Raymond.
Chuck was the son of our founder, Herbert W. Raymond, and a proud part of the family business his Father & Grandfather built. In 1993, Chuck joined the office that then included his brother, George, thereby carrying on a family tradition that meant so much to him and to all of us. His nephew, George, joined the firm in 2007.
For more than 30 years, we had something not every family gets to experience: the opportunity to work alongside one another every day.
There were plenty of long days, countless conversations, lots of laughs and, most importantly, a lifetime of memories made together. When your family and your family business are so closely connected, it’s difficult to separate one from the other. Chuck was an integral part of both. His presence has been woven into the fabric of our office for more than three decades, and his absence will be felt in ways that are difficult to put into words.
Always the professional, he prided himself on meeting people, and working to sell their home, or helping others purchase a home. His relationship with customers continued for years to come, as they often returned to have him find other housing for their own families. He was honest in his work, and fought always to protect private property rights, frequently attending Realtor® Day on the Hill; he consistently took educational courses to better his knowledge in real estate.
Beyond the office, the real loss is ours as a family. We have lost a son, a brother, an uncle, a Papa, and someone we loved dearly.
We will miss Chuck’s stories, his laugh, his personality and simply knowing he was always there for us.
We love you, Chuck. We are grateful for every, moment, every laugh, and every memory we were fortunate enough to share with you. We will continue your work, your legacy and your drive to serve others in fulfilling the American Dream of home ownership. [Services are private at the request of Chuck.]
