Buyers have more negotiating power than they may realize. 👀🏡

In August 2026, this percentage of closed sales included a reported seller concession:

Yuba County: 61.3%
Sutter County: 55.9%
Placer County: 35.0%

That could mean assistance with closing costs, an interest-rate buydown, repairs, or another negotiated credit. It does not mean sellers reduced their prices by these percentages.

Who’s affected? Any customer with a plastic toter/cart is potentially affected (commercial customers with metal bins are not affected). If your collection date IS changing, you will also receive a postcard later this month with details. If your collection date is NOT changing, your time of collection may change, please continue to have your carts out by 5AM.

Why is this needed? Looking back, we believe it has been 20 to 30 years (or more!) since a substantial reroute was conducted, and wow how the Yuba-Sutter area has grown and changed since then. This reroute will increase service efficiency, increase driver safety, balance the workload across the week, and accommodate projected residential development.
