day it is! ✨WHOOP WHOOP! We made it halfway through the week friends!

A little update for you all as to why I’ve been MIA in posting previews. Currently, I’m in my student teaching term for my Masters in Business Education. I submit my edTPA in ONE WEEK.. and let me tell you, I’m more than ready to have this checklist item off my to do list this fall. So far, I’m at about 23 pages of commentary, and I’m only about 1/3 of the way done.. Yes, you read that correctly.. it’s a wonderful experience.

What is edTPA?
-The edTPA is a national, subject-specific portfolio-based assessment of teaching performance that is completed by student teachers to demonstrate their readiness for a full-time classroom teaching assignment. Even though I’m in my 4th year teaching, I took a non-traditional route to becoming a teacher. This means that I didn’t go to school for education and never completed a student teaching placement. So basically, my path was a little backwards. 🤷‍♀️ Once I finish my masters program, I will be eligible to receive a continuing contract.. and cool it for a while on taking any more grad classes.

But on a more positive note, we have MEA break next week so I will get a little bit of a breather so soon. I'm submitting my edTPA on 10/20, so if you’re waiting on an inquiry response or gallery, I’ll be sending those out shortly after my submission is made! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your patience and understanding. I think it is too easy as a small business owner to want to serve clients as soon possible, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t taking a toll on my mental health that I’ve been falling behind on gallery delivery. I promise you all I will have galleries to you as soon as I can! 💕
