In real estate, equity is the difference between the current market value of your property and the amount you still owe on your mortgage (or any other liens against the property).

For example:

* If your house is worth $300,000 and you owe $200,000 on your mortgage, your equity is $100,000.

The Tulsa massacre, also known as the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921, was a devastating event that took place from May 31st to June 1st 1921 in the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma which resulted in the demise of this thriving community. This area was known as “Black Wall Street” due to its affluent African American community and businesses.

This unfortunate event had a profound and lasting impact on the community, contributing to the systemic racism and economic disparities that followed. For many years, the event was largely omitted from history books and public discourse, but now we will have an opportunity to experience a firsthand account.
