When selling your house, the number of Days on Market (DOM) tells you how the market is responding to your price. It reflects buyer demand, pricing accuracy, and competition- all in one number.

👉Low DOM → Your home is priced correctly and attracting buyers
👉Rising DOM → Buyers are hesitating (often due to price, condition, or marketing)
👉High DOM → The listing can become “stale,” leading to lower offers and more negotiations

Why it’s more important than list price or offers:
You can list at any price, but the market decides value based on how quickly buyers act.

Homes that sell early typically sell closer to asking price.
