We apologize for the delayed response. It was another busy weekend for Estate Chics, but we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
We also apologize for the inconvenience of arriving at the sale expecting certain items to be available when they had already been removed. We should have removed those photos before the sale began, and we recognize that the oversight created confusion.
We understand how frustrating it is for a customer to arrive expecting to purchase specific items and then learn those items are no longer available. That concern is valid, and we are reviewing our process so our sale listings more accurately reflect what remains available when a sale begins.
As a service-based company, our primary responsibility is to the clients and families who hire us. We work to liquidate their assets, maximize returns, and reduce the stress of organizing and managing an estate sale. At the same time, we also strive to provide a positive and transparent experience for our sale customers.
After we stage and price sale items, family members are encouraged to review them. We may recommend that certain items be sold online if we believe that approach could generate a better return. Family members may also remove items for personal use before the sale begins. Ultimately, those decisions belong to the family.
Industry statistics indicate that approximately 40% of estate sale companies offer virtual auctions or online sales. With the right online sales team, this approach can help maximize returns for clients. Our current online sales staff is knowledgeable, thorough, and effective, which supports stronger results for clients and better service for sale customers.
Regarding the comment in the video about Estate Chics being owned by men, we believe it is responsible business practice to retain a company name that has more than 10 years of success, goodwill, and name recognition.
We ask all sale customers to treat our staff with the same professionalism and courtesy they expect in return. Respectful communication helps our team address concerns effectively while continuing to serve both clients and sale customers. If we can identify a sales customer who treats our sales staff in an unprofessional manner, that person will be banned from our future sales. We are as adamant about supporting our sales staff as we are about representing our clients.
While negative posts are difficult to receive, we will use this feedback as an opportunity to improve our services for both our clients and our sale customers.
