Merry Christmas to all
A special story of a client that closed Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas to them.. Seeing our prayers play out and their dream come true, was the best Christmas I could ask for..
One of my good friends had been expressing for years that he would like to bring his parents and brothers and sister to Wichita.. Eventually his dream began to come true as his parents decided they would make Kansas their place of retirement.. We scoped out properties for months before they chose the perfect area of new construction properties near Park City, KS.
As it all came together, my friend also purchased a new property in the same subdivision next to his parents.. I was so happy for them and it was amazing seeing my good friend obtain a new property for his wife and kids (with another on the way).. Seeing his mom and dad move next door warmed my heart.
Once the rest of the family got word, I started getting more phone calls.. Next his Brother decided to bring his family over to Kansas.. At that time they were running out of new builds in that subdivision, so we locked another one down.. Shortly after, another call came in and there was only one house left in the same subdivision that the rest of the family had been purchasing homes..
We ended up going into the purchase with competing offers.. Thankfully the sellers and the builders were considerate of our situation, in that we’ve already bought many of the new houses they had built.. We ultimately convinced the sellers to take our offer.
Everything looked like we would get straight to closing with no real hurdles outside of winning with our competing offer. About 3 weeks in we started running into finance issues that were out of anyone’s control.. Months went by and the sellers began to get frustrated.. After 3 extensions they asked that we go ahead and let the house go.. I’ll admit, even I was discouraged and spoke to the buyer about being realistic..
The buyer expressed to me his faith and asked that we push this forward and trust in God.. He told me that he believed God would provide and by Christmas we will close on this house..
I took this story to the sellers and asked them to open their hearts and have faith in us.. Reluctantly they gave us one more extension..
Nearing the end of our final extension, I was getting pretty discouraged and I reached out to the buyer and he explained he had just sent a letter that may work for the lender.. Shortly after I got a text from the lender with a set of keys that said, “clear to close”.. We closed 2 days later on Christmas Eve…
So this Christmas, a family will join the rest of their family here in Kansas in a beautiful brand new home…
I just want to thank them for helping renew my faith.. Having me on my knees praying to my savior.. Bringing me closer to God.. I never imagined this venture would bring me so many new friends and relationships and even a better relationship with Jesus..
This is my blessing and my Christmas and I can’t thank all my friends, family and clients enough for this gift.
