🏡 August was slightly slower than last August — but only by about 1%. Zoom out and the picture looks very different.

6,398 homes have sold in the Wichita Metro so far in 2026, up 6.3% from this point last year. Across all of South Central Kansas, sales are up 5.8% year-to-date. More homes are selling in 2026 than in 2025 — and that is an important distinction when national headlines make it sound like buyers have simply stopped moving.
