We are seeking an experienced and reliable grounds and refuse manager to operate and maintain grounds-keeping and refuse duties for multiple apartment communities in Wichita, Ks. In this position you will drive and operate trash and lawn equipment, mow, trim, apply w**d control, repair and maintain landscaped areas, trim trees, remove trash and debris from properties as well as supervise others doing the same work. This is a year round position.
Responsibilities:
Operate a trash vehicle and trash equipment
Day to day mowing and trimming of multiple properties
Consistent management of people and schedule is required
Maintain established weekly schedule trash and grounds-keeping duties for all properties
Repair and installation of landscaping materials as needed
Application of w**d control substances
Completion of work in allotted time
Oversight of equipment necessary for trash, lawn and landscape duties
Operating all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Proper operation of the equipment to avoid injury to residents or others
Monitoring the properties as you work to inform supervisor or management of any unsafe, unruly or improper activity on the properties
Maintain positive relationship with residents and staff
Qualifications:
Valid drivers license and a decent driving record
Heavy lifting required
Some experience with trash hauling, landscaping and mowing as well as the equipment required
Good attendance very important
Consistent work ethic
Positive attitude and good communication skills
Compensation:
$16 - 17 hour to start
