Showers and thunderstorms will be possible each day through Saturday with chances mainly in the afternoon and into the evening. Hot and humid conditions are forecast through Wednesday with heat indices between 100-105 before near normal temperatures return on Thursday.

Scattered to numerous severe storms are likely across the region for today and tonight. Storms are expected to initiate over the central Kansas this afternoon then spread slowly southeast across the region through the night time hours. All severe weather hazards possible.

Storms are expected to develop over western Kansas later this afternoon with some of activity spreading into central Kansas during the evening hours. The stronger storms will be capable of producing up to golf ball size hail and damaging winds around 70mph.
