One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that you need perfect credit and a large down payment to buy a home.

In many cases, an FHA loan may allow buyers to qualify with:
✔️ as little as 3.5% down
✔️ credit scores starting around 580
✔️ seller-paid closing costs up to 6%
✔️ competitive interest rates that can be similar to conventional financing

For many first-time buyers, this loan option can make purchasing a home feel much more realistic.

The biggest advantage is that it gives buyers a chance to start building equity sooner instead of waiting years to save a large down payment.

Of course, every buyer’s situation is different. Credit, debt, income, and loan guidelines all play a role in what program makes the most sense.
