This is why inspections matter.
Homeowner provided disclosure with no knowledge of previous wood destroying organisms infestation. Upon inspection we confirmed that there was in fact previous infestation and damage with what looked like attempted “repair”. Homeowner stated that there was in fact previous infestation with related damage and repair was done by said homeowner. 🧐🤨 While we appreciate the effort it’s always best to hire a professional to address wood destroying insect damage!

Do you have vaulted ceilings? Do you notice pockets of warm air while walking through rooms with vaulted ceilings? Your power bill make you cry a lil? You may need to take a closer look up top!
Your HVAC may be working harder than it needs to and costing you money due to a “more common than it should be” issue that’s an easy fix! My inspection today was a prime example of lack of insulation at the knee wall where the vaulted area meets the attic floor.
Few pieces of fiberglass batt insulation can save you comfort and cash!

Thermal scans can expose and detect temperature anomalies on many different surfaces in seconds- exposing overheated conductor/breakers, confirming proper air temps from registers, inadequate sealing of doors/windows, hot/cool spots within walls and ceilings etc etc. Doors, windows, electrical panels/receptacles, walls/ceilings are just a few items we include in these thermal scans as a standard in our home inspections. The naked eye can only see so much!
If you’re looking for an inspector that puts forth the effort to see beneath the surface then let’s have a conversation! Home inspections matter.
