Ruth’s Place is the only emergency shelter dedicated to serving women experiencing homelessness in Luzerne County. Ruth’s Place provides both lodging and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in an environment where women feel safe, supported and encouraged. Using evidence-based practices, the program provides temporary and short-term emergency shelter while coordinating with community partners to address our guests’ basic physical, financial, health, emotional and spiritual needs. Our dedicated staff assists our guests in forming and following a permanent housing plan to quickly achieve stable, long-term housing.
